Cody started with a yard kart in the back yard at age 3 ½.
He started racing Tiger Sprints at Claremont Speedway in Claremont, NH at the age of 7. The Tiger Sprints were modeled after the World of Outlaw Sprint cars without suspension.
From 2012 – 2016 Cody raced in 4 different Tiger Sprint classes, won a championship and collected over 50 podium finishes.
He started racing mini-sprints in 2017. His first year, he had a 3rd place finish and overall finished 6th in the points.
Cody was the youngest competitor, racing with 20, 30 and 40 years old’s. That 3rd place finish was like a win for him and Team 27.
Cody was fast right out of the trailer. Opening weekend he won Best in Show in the Car Show and won the first race.
He followed that up with a 2nd, 2nd, 3rd and lead the points championship for the entire 2018 race season. Cody’s fastest average lap speed was 89.28mph!
The last race started with just a 4 point lead. It was a real nail biter! Cody became the youngest track champion at age 13 in the 52-year history of Devil’s Bowl Speedway.
COVID-19 didn’t stop Cody from having an amazing year. He had 14 Starts, 5 Wins, 13 Top 5, 14 Top 10 and an Average Finish of 2.357. He ended his season as the 500cc Mini Sprint Champion.
